Be ready for the 23rd Annual Photography Exhibition on May 3, 2019!
Updated on Tuesday, March 26.
- Opening reception is scheduled for May 3, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Laredo Center for the Arts, 500 San Agustin Ave. Exhibit length in weeks is pending.
- All students will exhibit five photos of their choice sized to 8-inches-by-10-inches or 10-inches-by-8-inches at 300 dpi (resolution). Students may enter a sixth photo if they enter Photog Fest*.
- Photos and attendance at the reception is part of everybody's final exam, and is a requirement for seniors to receive the medallion.
- Deadline to submit five (or six*) photos is April 12 at the end of your block. You may already start turning in your photos to Mr. Webber.
- Photos are yours to keep after they're brought back from the show; however, each person is expected to loan one photo to be exhibited in the hallway outside of the room until just before final exams in May.
- Photos can be on any topic that is appropriate for a high school-aged audience.
- Mr. Webber is sole judge of photos that are appropriate for the exhibit. If you're unsure of what is appropriate, use these guides:
- An image that makes all of us as a school program look bad is inappropriate.
- An image that depicts gratuitous violence, illegal or immoral acts or behavior, or has an "adult" theme, is inappropriate.
- An image that is inappropriate to display to a 9th-12th grader (ages 13 to graduation day), and
- An image you would not show a child (ages 0-12) is inappropriate.
